Synopsis

In the book, consisting of two parts, the issue of the protection of scholarly work from the perspective of law and research ethics is addressed. In the first part it is demonstrated that the catalogue of human rights includes the subjective right of creators of intangible goods, such as creators of science, to protect their moral and material interests relating to contribution to join research. The authors have reconstructed the content of that right based on the law and the codes of ethics for scientists. In the second part legal and ethical regulations are confronted with the reality of conducting research activities in hard and natural science from the perspective of teamwork and applying for the degrees and title awarded in the Polish higher education and science system.

Anna Chorążewska, University of Silesia in Katowice

Dr hab., przez 13 lat wykonywała zawód adwokata, obecnie Sędzia I Wydziału Cywilnego Sądu Okręgowego w Sosnowcu, profesor uczelni w Instytucie Nauk Prawnych Wydziału Prawa i Administracji Uniwersytetu Śląskiego w Katowicach. Autorka prac poświęconych problematyce systemu sprawowania władzy, w tym w szczególności polskiej prezydenturze oraz konstytucyjnemu statusowi samorządu terytorialnego. Przedmiotem zainteresowań Autorki są aktualnie materie związane z konstytucyjnym statusem jednostki oraz ochroną służących jej wolności i praw ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem prawa własności intelektualnej. Adam Proń, Warsaw University of Technology

Prof. dr hab. inż., specjalizujący się w chemii fizycznej i chemii materiałów jest absolwentem Akademii Górniczo-Hutniczej. W 1980 r. doktoryzował się na Uniwersytecie Pensylwanii w Filadelfii, w 1988 r. habilitował na Politechnice Warszawskiej, a w 1994 r. uzyskał tytuł profesora. Od 1974 r. nieprzerwanie pracuje na PW. W latach 1989-1996 był również pracownikiem AGH, a w latach 1998 -2012 - Komisariatu ds. Energii Atomowej i Energii Alternatywnych w Grenoble (Francja). W 2002 r. otrzymał nagrodę Fundacji na rzecz Nauki Polskiej za badania dotyczące elektroaktywnych materiałów organicznych. [08.07.2024]
