Synopsis

The monograph proposes viewing classification as not only a cognitive process that organizes knowledge, but also one that promotes the dynamic development of science: initiating new directions, concepts, branches of science, trends, sub-disciplines, etc. In structured knowledge it is easier to detect places yet unmarked in science.  Thus the object of the presented research is the significance of ordering the scientific knowledge in the form of classification in the field of social sciences, in the discipline of pedagogy. Methodological resources of hermeneutics proved to be useful in analysis and interpretation of scientific source texts and official documents. The structure of the monograph consists of the table of contents, introduction, four chapters, conclusion, bibliography, list of diagrams and tables, personal index, summary and note about the authors.

Author Biographies

Alicja Żywczok, University of Silesia in Katowice

Dr hab. prof. UŚ, pedagog i filozof. Miejsce pracy: Uniwersytet Śląski, Wydział Nauk Społecznych, Instytut Pedagogiki. Lider zespołu badawczego z zakresu aksjologii pedagogicznej i rozwoju teorii naukowych. Autorka 130 publikacji naukowych, organizatorka konferencji naukowych. Dorobek naukowy prezentuje w międzynarodowych bazach internetowych: Orcid, Research Gate, Google Scholar. Członkini: Zespołu Pedagogiki Chrześcijańskiej przy KNP Polskiej Akademii Nauk, Rady Naukowej czasopisma parametrycznego „Paideia”, a także Rady Naukowej Wydawnictwa Towarzystwa Pedagogiki Filozoficznej „Chowanna”. Recenzentka dorobku w procedurach awansowych, publikacji monograficznych, artykułów w czasopismach parametrycznych oraz projektów naukowych. Zainteresowania badawcze: teoria wychowania, pedagogika ogólna, naukoznawstwo, pedagogika pracy, pedagogika rodziny, historia myśli pedagogicznej, aksjologia pedagogiczna, antropologia filozoficzna i kulturowa. Bogumiła Bobik, University of Silesia in Katowice

Dr nauk humanistycznych, pedagog, adiunkt  w Instytucie Pedagogiki  Uniwersytetu Śląskiego w Katowicach. Autorka ponad 50 publikacji naukowych: monografii, rozdziałów oraz artykułów parametrycznych. Łączy pracę badawczą z praktyką pedagogiczną. Obszarami jej zainteresowań badawczych są: organizacja pomocy psychologiczno-pedagogicznej dla dzieci o specjalnych potrzebach edukacyjnych i ich rodzin, przemiany polskiej oświaty, głównie na Górnym Śląsku po 1945 roku, oraz problemy społeczne (zaniedbania, niepełnosprawność, zachowania ryzykowne młodzieży).
