Synopsis

We are pleased to present the 8th volume of the Polish Literature in the World series. Readers of this volume will have the opportunity to explore texts presented during the 8th edition of the recurring international conference Polish Literature in the World: Polish Non-Fiction Literature – Perspectives of the Author and the Reader, which took place in November 2022 at the University of Silesia in Katowice.

Wioletta Hajduk-Gawron (red.), University of Silesia in Katowice

PhD, Faculty of Humanities, University of Silesia in Katowice
Research Interests:
Reception of Polish literature abroad, Polish language glottodidactics, the literary text in teaching Polish as a foreign language, adaptation theory, the experience of migration in the educational process, and intercultural communication.
Dr. Hajduk-Gawron is the author of articles on the role of literature and culture in teaching Polish as a foreign language (e.g., Masterpieces of Polish Literature in Glottodidactic Practice: Adapting the Reader and the Text; On Knowledge of Intercultural and Interpersonal Communication in Glottodidactic Practice – Some Remarks). She is also a co-author of textbooks and teaching aids for teaching Polish to foreigners (e.g., Polish Language Textbook for Koreans, Level B1, Seoul 2021). [10.12.2024]
