Synopsis

The term ‘solar theology’ has been used in the study of Greco-Roman polytheism for over a century. The aim of this volume is to establish to what extent and in what cultural context solar theology can be viewed as a historical-religious phenomenon.

Marek Job

Absolwent filologii klasycznej na Uniwersytecie Śląskim. Niniejsza publikacja poświęcona zagadnieniu antycznej teologii solarnej jest wynikiem grantu przyznanego przez Narodowe Centrum Nauki. Uczestniczył także w projekcie badawczym dotyczącym obecności wątków związanych z Dionizosem w polityce religijnej rzymskich cesarzy; wyniki jego pracy zostały opublikowane w tomie zbiorowym Dionysus and Politics.
