Synopsis

A multi-author monograph edited by Lucyna Sadzikowska and Tomasz Kipka was prepared in the aftermath of the Jolanta Wadowska-Król Post-Industrial Diseases Zone organized as  part of the 7th Silesian Science Festival Katowice 2023. It is an interdisciplinary work that reflects on post-industrial diseases as a separate trend to environmental humanities. The book consists of three articles and a record of two panel discussions. The publication includes works of arts created by students inspired by the life and work of Jolanta Wadowska-Król, a physician from familoki (multi-family houses built for industry works, characteristic for the Upper Silesia region).
