Synopsis

The Diocese of Katowice was established in 1925. Many clergy of this diocese deserve to be called great speakers. Their speeches reflect the most critical issues of the Church and society. The main scientific objective of the monograph is a critical analysis of the specificity of preaching the word of God in the Diocese of Katowice, as well as the edition of sources and discussion of the preaching achievements of outstanding representatives of the clergy of this diocese in the first fifty years of its existence. Also, the monograph aims to collect and discuss speeches delivered by the most outstanding representatives of this diocese. The analysis and critical evaluation of the collected speeches allow us to determine their value and establish their significance for the history of the Diocese of Katowice, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
