Synopsis

Economic, social, and cultural changes result in the need to take on many different social roles, among which the most important are those related to family and professional life. Fulfilling multiple social roles is a challenge faced every day by people in dual-income marriages. The way in which spouses organize their working time may shape their everyday experiences and, consequently, their satisfaction with their quality of life. Therefore, this publication analyzes the importance of work-life balance for women and men in dual-income marriages from a psychological perspective.
